As Zoola will be making a direct connection to your Moodle or Totara database, Lambda Solutions strongly recommends using an SSL certificate to encrypt data transfer between the two systems. If your database already has an SSL certificate assigned, this can be used to negotiate a secure connection with Zoola.

Cloud hosted and Moodle or Totara partner hosted solutions will likely have SSL certificates already assigned as it is very common for these services to be included. If you are unsure if SSL is enabled, please contact your hosting provider.

If you are self hosting your Moodle or Totara installation SSL can be enabled by following the appropriate configuration instructions.
