To add a filter using Parameter Mapping, complete the following steps:

  1. From the  Repository, open a Dashboard with filters in the  Dashboard Designer

  2. From the  Dashboard Designer tool bar, click the  Parameter Mapping icon  . The  Parameter Mapping window opens.  

  3. In the  Filter/Parameter row you want to add the new filter to, click the  Add button  . A row containing new affected Dashlet and filter/parameter dropdown menus appears. 

  4. From the dropdown line-items, select the Dashlet and parameter combination you want to apply to the Dashboard. 

  5. Click the  OK button to apply and save your changes, or click the  Cancel button to discard your changes. 

To delete a filter using Parameter Mapping, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the  Parameter Mapping window as described above. 

  2. In the  Filter/Parameter row you want to delete, click the  Delete button  . 

  3. Click the  OK button to apply and save your changes, or click the  Cancel button to discard your changes. 
     

To create a new filter via Parameter Mapping, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the  Parameter Mapping window as described above.  

  2. Click the  Create New Filter button. A new row is added to the  Parameter Mapping window.  

  3. In the  Filter/Parameter column, enter a name for the new filter. Click outside the text box to apply the name. 

  4. Click the  Add button  and select the Dashlet and parameter combination you want to apply to the new filter. 

  5. Click  OK to apply and save your changes, or click the   Cancel button to discard the new filter. 

 

To delete a newly-created filter, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the  Parameter Mapping window as described above. 

  2. In the Filter/Parameter row you want to delete, click the  Delete button . The  Dashlet Affected and  Filter/Parameter  Affected dropdown menus disappear. 

  3. Click the  Delete button   again in the row you want to delete. The filter row disappears. 

  4. Click the  OK button to apply and save your changes, or click the  Cancel button to discard your changes.
