You can create a user profile directly in Zoola™ from the Manage Users page, but this user will not have access to Zoola™ through your LMS, and will be required to log in to Zoola™ independently.

From your Moodle/Totara homepage, you can enable any user within your LMS user’s list to access Zoola™–and you can even control which content they can access, modify, create, and delete.

To enable a Totara/Moodle user to access Zoola™, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to Moodle/Totara as an Administrator.

  2. From the Administration block, navigate to Site Administration > Users > Permissions > Assign system roles. The Assign Roles in System page appears.

  3. From the Role column, select a Zoola™ role. For information on the Zoola™ roles available in Moodle/Totara and how they correspond to roles in Zoola™, see the LMS Zoola Roles section. Once you select an Zoola™ role, a window will open named “Assign role “role name” in System.”

In order to access Zoola, LMS users must be assigned at least one roll from each of the following two categories.

    Functional Roles: ROLE_ADMINISTRATOR, ROLE_USER, ROLE_REPORTS, ROLE_DOMAIN_DESIGNER, ROLE_DASHBOARDS

  4. The Potential Users panel allows you to search through every registered user of your LMS. If there are a high number of users, you will need to use the search box to identify users. Use this panel to identify the LMS user to whom you wish to assign the Role and grant access to Zoola™.

  5. Select the user in the Potential Users panel.

  6. In the central column, click the Add button. The selected user will now appear in the Existing Users panel.

  7. If you wish to assign additional roles, choose another role from the Assign another role list (located below the panels), then repeat the previous seven steps. You can add multiple roles to the same user to create a customized access structure for the profile.

Once you assign any of the Zoola™ roles to an LMS user, they will have immediate access to Zoola™.

When the user logs into Moodle/Totara, they will now see the Lambda Zoola™ block on their homepage. After the first time the user clicks the Launch Lambda Zoola™ button, the Zoola™ administrator will be able to see them on the Manage Users page, and can further configure their profiles, roles, and attributes.

Until the user logs in to Zoola™ for the first time, the Lambda Zoola™ administrator will be unable to see their profile on the Manage Users page.

Once the user has logged into Zoola™, their profile is fully created and enabled, according to the following specifications:
